Privacy Notice
The short version: your plan is yours, we don't sell it, and we collect the minimum needed to make the product work.
Summer Camp Planner is published by Human Renaissance Corporation. This page explains what data the product stores and how it is used.
Who this product is for
Summer Camp Planner is a tool for parents, guardians, and caregivers planning summer camps for children in their care. Accounts are for adults (18+). The product is not designed for, or directed at, children under 13. Children do not have direct access to the product, do not create accounts, and are not contacted by the product.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, display name, a hashed password, and session records used to keep you signed in.
- Workspace data you create: names and ages of children you add, camp assignments, shortlist notes, and activity history. This data is entered by you and is scoped to the workspace you own or have been invited to.
- Request metadata: IP address, user agent, and timestamps, used for abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- Public feedback submissions: if you use our feedback form, we store the fields you submit.
- Analytics (only with your consent): interaction events to understand feature usage. You can decline these via the cookie banner, and the analytics cookies will not be set.
Children's data
Because we only represent children as entries inside a parent's workspace, the child's information is stored, used, and deleted under the parent's control:
- The parent account is responsible for what child-related data they enter.
- We only use children's entries to generate the planning outputs the parent has requested (a timeline, a shortlist, a printable schedule).
- We never email, text, or otherwise contact children.
- We never share children's data with advertisers. Advertising on our public pages does not use workspace data.
- A parent can delete a child entry at any time from their workspace, which removes that data from our records.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without their parent's consent, please contact us via the feedback form and we will remove the account.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep your workspace synchronized across devices and invited collaborators.
- To render the public camp directory and improve listing quality based on feedback.
- To investigate reports of abuse or misuse.
- With your consent, to measure aggregate product usage and debug errors.
